Anna and Mark Bennett recently got married with a 100 of their nearest and dearest at the lush Yarra Ranges Estate Monbulk, in the Yarra Valley. I sang with the very talented band Jazz Notes and we enjoyed curating songs for their Filipino-Australian wedding. Anna told me “I had a picture in my mind, Mark and I want to give our guests a relaxing and elegant music experience.”
Before the ceremony, while guests waited for the beautiful bride to arrive, I sang ‘Over the rainbow,’ and ‘Can’t help falling in love.’ Jazz notes played ‘What a wonderful world’ and ‘How long will I love you’ for the recessional. Chilled easy listening music continued in canapes and dinner. I performed a mix of Jazz standards and contemporary love songs. We performed some classics such as ‘Fly me to the Moon,’ 'Let’s fall in love,' ‘Someone to watch over me,’ ‘Will you still love me tomorrow' and some pop songs ‘All of me’ and How long will I love you.’ We were thrilled to be able to do a live version of Al Green's ‘Let’s stay together' for the couple's first dance. I was told this song holds a special meaning to the couple. Thank you so much Anna and Mark for having me and Jazz Notes perform at your big day! If you've chosen your first dance track and are looking for a wedding singer to sing it live or if you need a bit of help finding the perfect song, get in touch and I would be happy to help out.
